Scholarship Winners 


The 2025 Scholarship has been awarded to Peyton Curley. Peyton has been involved in a multitude of volunteer activities racking up over 150 hours of volunteer time all while balancing a plethora of other activities. Her volunteer activities range from helping at youth sport camps, helping local fire departments raise money, and church events. She plans to attend Central College to further her academic and athletic career. 

The 2024 Scholarship winner is Ian Buzynski. Ian has had a strong upbringing in service being raised by a teacher and law enforcement officer. Ian has been a positive influence in the classroom, his athletic teams, and his community. He always has a smile on his face and brings joy to those around him. Ian plans on following his father's footsteps in becoming a law enforcement officer.

Pictured Left is Brylee Bellis. Brylee had phenomenal recommendations. Everywhere she went she made a positive impact on those around her. Through all of her work it is clear that she is a great leader and role model. As a high school student she built up over 200 community service hours and worked tirelessly on multiple service project. She plans on attending the University of Iowa to become a medical doctor.

Pictured Right is Jenna Hammitt. Jenna accumulated over 200 hours of community service as a high school student. She has already set the example of serving others through her actions. She quilted for families in need, wrote grants for public schools, and led through her actions. Jenna will continue to serve others and her community by attending the University of Northern Iowa to become a social worker.

We would like to congratulate Jada Aiello for winning the 2022 Sittig Scholarship. Jada has done extensive volunteer work including volunteering at the Cedar Bend Humane Society, Retrieving Freedom, and spear-heading a VocalID Voice drive. Jada has shown a great willing to serve others, serve her community, and always use a strong work ethic.

The 2021, and inaugural winner of the Sittig Foundation Scholarship is Macey Schmit. Macey plans on attending Hawkeye Community College to study to become a dental hygienist
